Erick Campos | Festival Judge

Erick Campos is a musician, songwriter, and composer based in Central Florida. His music runs the gamut between minimalist, classical, videogame, and contemporary popular music. He received a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Central Florida as well as a Master of Music in Composition from the University of Florida. Erick Campos has been mentored in composition by Dr. David Macdonald, Dr. Paul Richards, and Dr. James Paul Sain. He has also received instruction from Jeremy Birdsall and Michael Hill on electric bass and double bass, respectively. In addition to composing, he has experience performing classical, jazz, and rock styles in venues such as the Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts, the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, the Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa, and the House of Blues in New Orleans. His interdisciplinary artistic interests led him to complete a secondary concentration in Music Theory while at the University of Florida and has also led him to work in the field of criticism and review for a variety of mediums such as film, music, and videogames.
