MEET MOLLY VERNON FILMMAKER

Molly Vernon has a passion for filmmaking. She finds her greatest rewards is watching an audience watch her film. We can see why. Her latest film Abide takes you to a place with raw honest emotion. The subject matter is something many of us will have to deal with as we grow older and into that place in life where we deal with the last chapter of those we love while making hard choices.

Vernon is an adjunct film professor whose favorite genres are Science Fiction and Suspense/Thrillers. She will tell you that the most important part of creating a good film is story. While she admits you hear it a lot, she explains its because its true.

Starting in theatre, Vernon was drawn to film through technology with her favorite part of the process being post production. Now at 63, her greatest challenge is being on her feet for the long days. But she intends to make movies for as long as her feet hold out. We suspect even longer.

“If you ever get the chance to go to Cannes, go. I have had the opportunity to screen there and it was amazing” a little advice from Vernon.
